TERMS & CONDITIONS
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
This retreat package does not include the cost of air travel. Participants are solely responsible for any changes that may occur to their travel arrangements including any flight delays and cancellations.
The price of the retreat package includes transport from the airport to Melati Cottages. If participants plan to stay in a hotel before or after the retreat and need to be transported to a hotel, there may be an additional transport fee depending on the location.
The bookings are made in good faith and may be subject to change. Leila Davis Psychotherapy cannot accept any responsibility for action taken by the management of the retreat locations. However, reasonable endeavour will be made to offer alternative accommodation, in the unlikely event that this should occur.
Participants will be responsible for any damages to accommodation or property they may cause.
Whilst Leila Davis Psychotherapy makes every endeavour to ensure that participants stay at retreats is safe, no responsibility will be taken for any injuries or losses incurred during the retreat, nor whilst in transit to or from the retreat. In paying the deposit and the balance of the retreat participants agree to these terms and conditions and will assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any losses and/or damages.
Please ensure travel advice is taken from a doctor prior to leaving Australia and appropriate immunisations are given as well as assessment of fitness to travel.
YOGA and EXERCISE CLASSES
All due care is taken in the instruction of these classes and only poses deemed safe for participants will be taught. Participants must not attempt a move that they do not understand or looks too difficult. They must seek an alternative pose. Leila Davis Psychotherapy will not be responsible for any injury incurred in a class. Be aware that participants are responsible for their own well-being throughout all classes.
MEDICATION AND MEDICAL ISSUES
It is participants responsibility to inform Leila Davis Psychotherapy of any medical issues or medical history that could affect their experience at the retreat prior to participation.
Participants are required to see their doctor for advice on travel to Bali regarding vaccinations and other health precautions.
These retreats are not suitable for those overcoming addictions to alcohol or drugs.
It is essential that participants take out their own travel insurance which must include coverage for cancellations, interruptions to flight plans, acts of God etc. It is participants responsibility to ensure that they choose an insurance policy which covers them for any unexpected events.
Leila Davis Psychotherapy is not responsible for expenses incurred by participants for any cancelled trips, such as airline tickets, or for costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellations, acts of God or illness.
If participants become unwell Leila Davis Psychotherapy will direct them to the nearest doctor or hospital.
Participants must hold a current passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Deposit is non-refundable.
Once the balance is paid (2 months before the commencement date), if participants have reason to withdraw from the retreat they can find a replacement participant to take their place and recoup the costs directly from them.
Leila Davis Psychotherapy reserves the right to cancel a participants place in a retreat before or after the retreat start date if the following occurs (a) Violence/ extreme anger (b) damage to property (c) use of illicit drugs/ abuse of alcohol or any mind/behaviour altering substance (d) disrespect to any staff member (e) failed payment (f) not providing Leila Davis Psychotherapy with accurate information about personal or medical situation (g) or anything else we deem to be extreme, unlawful or damaging circumstances.
If participation in the retreat is cancelled due to any of the above items from (a) to (g), no refund will be offered. If a participant chooses to vacate or cancel a retreat setting prior to the end of a retreat, they do so of their own free will and no refund will be offered.
In the unlikely event of Leila Davis Psychotherapy being unable to run the retreat due to illness or unexpected circumstances, it will endeavour to find a replacement leader. In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled Leila Davis Psychotherapy will offer participants priority placement at one of its retreats in the following 2 years.
Leila Davis Psychotherapy will, however have no responsibility for participants airfares or any other cost incurred.
In consideration of the services of Leila Davis Psychotherapy, participants agree that by paying their deposit and/ or balance they hereby assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any losses and/or damages.
Participants agree that they have read this waiver and release and by booking their place at the retreat with a deposit, agree that it is their intention to exempt and release Leila Davis Psychotherapy from any liability for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death caused by negligence or any other cause. Participants fully understand the terms of this release and waiver, and by paying retreat fees agree freely and voluntarily.
BAR TO PROCEEDINGS
These terms may be pleaded as a full and complete defence to the continuance or commencement of any proceedings in respect of the subject matter of these terms, brought at any time by any participant.
